The fullback from Portugal is 22 years old and has two experiences playing for the under-21 team. The Benfica youth system produced him, although he only made one appearance for the first squad during his time with the club.

Araujo was able to secure a permanent move to Estoril after a brief stint at Arouca, during which he was able to make a total of sixteen additional appearances with the first squad.

The versatile full-back, who can also play as a winger, has made 49 appearances for the club over the course of two seasons.
