Breaking news: Manchester United ‘agree terms’ for to get their third signing, Done deal

Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement regarding their forthcoming summer acquisition, while one of their leading players has been authorized to depart the organization.

The Red Devils made a strong start to the summer transfer window by quickly finalizing deals for Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon, investing approximately £65 million in their first two signings.

Nevertheless, Manchester United has been experiencing a loss of momentum in recent weeks, which is partially due to their inability to offload a number of high-profile players. Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, and Antony are still under contract with the Premier League titans.

After finishing 15th in the Premier League during their trophy-less 2024/25 campaign, Ruben Amorim’s team is being linked with numerous potential acquisitions, as they require upgrades in the majority of positions.

It is unsurprising that their current objective is to redesign their offensive strategy, as they encountered difficulties in generating opportunities and scoring goals as they adjusted to Amorim’s preferred 3-4-3 formation.

Cunha is a clear improvement over the options available last season, and the No.10 position is crucial to this system. However, they are still in the market for another signing in this area, and they are currently pursuing Bryan Mbeumo.

Mbeumo, like Cunha, was a prominent forward in the Premier League last season, scoring 20 goals for Brentford.

Man United has had several proposals for Mbeumo rejected due to negotiations with Brentford regarding the price. However, Spanish outlet Fichajes asserts that they have reached an agreement with their Premier League adversaries regarding Mbeumo.

The report asserts that the Red Devils are “very close to a major deal” for Mbeumo, as they have “accepted” Brentford’s £65m fee for the forward.

Tyrell Malacia, a defender for Manchester United, has been “authorised” to depart, according to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke. O’Rourke also stated that he has the potential to join Celtic this summer.

Nevertheless, it is acknowledged that the Red Devils must reach a “compromise” in order to facilitate his departure, as they would be required to “subsidize his wages” in order to finalize a deal with Celtic.

O’Rourke elaborated, “Celtic will likely be unable to cover his wages unless Manchester United subsidizes them; this is the most likely scenario for a potential agreement.”

“He is one of the players that Manchester United are openly willing to sell; he has been permitted to return late for pre-season in order to resolve his future.”

“Celtic would be an appealing offering for an individual such as Malacia in the upcoming season; however, Kieran Tierney is also returning to Celtic Park this year.”

The Bees’ star player is currently in the final year of his contract; however, the London club has the option to extend his contract on the same terms until 2027, which could result in a substantial fee.
