Barcelona’s capacity to register their new recruits remains the subject of concern, as they have not yet reverted to the 1:1 Financial Fair Play rule.
In order to generate revenue and free up salary space, there have been indications that the La Liga champions will need to make at least one significant sale this summer.
Marc Casado has been identified as a potential candidate for sale in recent days, as the La Masia graduate may not have a significant position in the team following Marc Bernal’s return from injury.
Marc Casado is the subject of Manchester United’s pursuit.
Manchester United has now been included in the list of Premier League clubs that are interested in Marc Casado this summer, according to Caught Offside (h/t Mundo Deportivo).
Arsenal and Chelsea have previously expressed interest in signing the La Masia talent, and the Red Devils are now also considering this option.
Arsenal, on the other hand, has pursued the acquisition of Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard. Chelsea, on the other hand, continues to harbor reservations regarding Romeo Lavia’s lack of influence since his arrival.
Manchester United have also expressed interest in Casado, as they perceive the Barcelona youth as a superior choice for their team compared to Manuel Ugarte, who was acquired from PSG last summer.
Casado’s contract expires in 2028 and includes a €100 million release clause. The midfielder’s objective remains unambiguous: he intends to remain at Barcelona.
Additionally, the Catalans have rejected the possibility of selling Casado at this time, despite the fact that they are currently facing financial constraints and may require a substantial sale to alleviate their financial burdens.
It will be intriguing to observe whether that posture shifts in the event that a lucrative offer is extended by any of the Premier League clubs.
