According to reports, Man Utd and Juventus have “agreed” on a fee for Jadon Sancho, and negotiations regarding a “severance package” are currently underway.
David Ornstein of The Athletic announced in June that Chelsea would not fulfill their £25m obligation to acquire Sancho this summer, following his loan stint at Stamford Bridge last season.
Sancho, who transferred from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United in a £73m deal, and the Blues were unable to reach an agreement on personal terms. Consequently, Chelsea will be obligated to pay a £5m penalty for failing to fulfill the obligation.
Following the announcement, Sancho utilized Instagram to compose a departure message to Chelsea supporters. He expressed his gratitude for the experience, stating, “Grateful for the experience.” I am extremely grateful to the Chelsea team, personnel, and fans for creating a welcoming environment for me.
“May the club continue to prosper in the future.” I am sincerely appreciative, Blues. Thank you.
After a disagreement with Erik ten Hag, the former Borussia Dortmund player departed Old Trafford. However, it is extremely unlikely that he will have a future at Manchester United under Ruben Amorim.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano maintained that a deal to the Serie A club is tricky, despite reports that Juventus had offered three players to Man Utd in an attempt to secure a transfer for Sancho this summer.
Romano stated on his YouTube channel, “The genuine issue is that Juventus is unwilling to cover the entirety of Jadon Sancho’s salary; this will be nearly impossible.”
“Therefore, the salary request change for Juventus-Sancho is going to be somewhat complex in the coming days and weeks.” Therefore, it is imperative that we observe the salary situation. Juventus’ interest and calls have been verified.
After “a basic agreement has been reached between the clubs” in “a deal worth around €20 million (£17m), the ball has now been passed to Man Utd to sort Sancho’s future.”
The winger for the Red Devils has signed a contract with Juventus for a salary of just over €6 million net. The winger and United are still in negotiations over a severance compensation, which the player believes must be at least €5 million in light of his current salary.
The report further states, “Time is required, and this is not a favorable indication, even for Juventus, as it could potentially foster rekindled rivalries (as evidenced by Borussia Dortmund) and multi-million-dollar bids (as is the customary case in Saudi Arabia).”
