The former Memphis Grizzlies guard’s unconventional perspective on the New York Knicks superstar elicited a response from fans.
Karl-Anthony Towns encountered substantial criticism during his tenure with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Timberwolves were eliminated in just five games, as Towns was considerably outperformed by the Dallas Mavericks’ frontcourt, despite the team’s success in reaching the Western Conference Finals in 2024.
Towns was traded from the team that drafted him and shaped him to a Knicks team in a large New York market with championship expectations just prior to the commencement of the 2024-2025 NBA season.
Towns had one of his most exceptional seasons to date, averaging 24.4 points and 12.8 rebounds per game while shooting an astonishing 52.6% from the field and 42% from three-point range in 72 games. Towns was selected to the All-NBA Third Team and designated an Eastern Conference starter in the 2025 NBA All-Star Game as a result of his exceptional performance in conjunction with his co-star Jalen Brunson.
In the playoffs, his numbers declined, and teams targeted him defensively, despite his significant contribution to the Knicks’ first appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals since 1999.
“It is due to his physical attributes: his short torso, long legs, and large feet.” There is nothing that he can do. He is constructed like a complete b***. His physique is like that of a female… His physique is comparable to that of a female. He has hips that are characteristic of a woman. Arenas exclaimed, “He’s comparable to a full-time WNBA player.”
The comments were met with a divided response from fans who took to social media to respond.
“What actions did KAT take to earn the right to engage in this dialogue?” “It is revolting,” declared one enthusiast.
An additional individual responded, “Gilbert Arenas harbors animosity toward numerous current NBA players for unknown reasons.”
