BREAKING NEWS: Refrees and VAR Officials for Celtic F.C. vs Rangers match officially revealed for the Scottish Premiership
The much-anticipated Glasgow Derby this Saturday at Celtic Park will have Willie Collum as the judge. Celtic and Rangers will play in a key match that could decide the direction of this season’s Scottish Premiership title.
Collum will be in charge of the 12:30 PM start, according to the Scottish Football Association.
The whistler who was on VAR for the last Glasgow Derby at Parkhead was criticized by Rangers, who asked that he never judge another game for them. That was the last league game he officiated with Rangers. This is the first one since then.
Collum will have David McGeachie and Ross Macleod as assistant refs, and Don Robertson will be the fourth official.
Steven McLean is on VAR, and Graeme Stewart is behind him.
Celtic are currently in first place in the league, and if they win this game, they could increase their lead to six points. With only six more points left after this game, a win would pretty much guarantee them the Premiership title. In this situation, there is a lot of pressure on the players, coaches, and officials to make sure the game is fair and runs easily.
