BREAKING: Recent reports indicate that Jose Mourinho is considering making a deal for Kieran Trippier, who plays for Newcastle United

Reports say that another team has joined the competition to sign Kieran Trippier, a defender for Newcastle United.

This season, Trippier has only started one Premier League game for Newcastle, which was a win over Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup. There were rumors that the 33-year-old would be moving to Bayern Munich in January, but he stayed on Tyneside and played for England at Euro 2024. That was his last game for England before he retired last week.

Reports said Trippier wanted to leave Newcastle United during the summer transfer window. Everton and Atalanta were among the teams mentioned with a move for him, but Trippier stayed with Newcastle United as the transfer window closed in the UK and across Europe’s top five leagues.

But new sources say that Fenerbahce, which is now managed by Jose Mourinho and is in the Turkish top league, is interested in Trippier. Sports Digitale in Turkey says that Fenerbahce is one of the clubs in Turkey that is interested in Trippier. Fenerbahce missed out on making it to the Champions League through the play-offs, but earlier this summer they signed former Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin on loan from Al-Ahli.

Now it’s been said that Istanbul Basaksehir also wants to buy Trippier. The transfer window in Turkey doesn’t close until Friday, September 13—twice as long after the English window did.

Newcastle United does not want Trippier to leave the club, and they will not be able to find a replacement for him until the January transfer market opens.
