Sheffield Wednesday could be sold for around £30 million as interest from multiple parties continues to mount, according to former Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen CEO Keith Wyness.
The club, currently in administration and facing a six-point deduction, may see the administrators accept a bid in the £30-35m range.
Wyness, speaking to Football Insider, revealed that at least five bidders are actively involved, including former Newcastle owner Mike Ashley and the owner of FC Midtjylland.
Local investors and an American group are also in the mix. The administrator is expected to accept bids at £30 million or above, considering the substantial investment required to improve the stadium and club infrastructure.
Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan and businessman Ryan Howsam have withdrawn from the race, citing financial constraints.
In the meantime, Sheffield Wednesday players will continue to be paid through December and January thanks to a fan donation covering wages.
