Brendan Rodgers provides an update on Adam
Idah’s injury status.Brendan Rodgers has provided an update on the fitness of Adam Idah, who was the victim of a rough tackle during the match against Motherwell last weekend. The Irishman is scheduled to undergo a scan. Idah was fouled by Liam Gordon in the middle of the pitch during the closing phases of Sunday’s match, with Celtic already leading 3-0. Gordon made a reckless lunge at his ankle. The Motherwell player was initially issued a yellow card; however, it was elevated to a red card following a VAR review. The side of Fir Park is characterized byIdah did not attend training today, despite the fact that captain Callum McGregor returned to Lennoxtown today. The Irishman’s status was discussed by Rodgers, who stated, “[Adam] is scheduled for a scan today. We will receive an update on the results at a later time.” “He sustained an unpleasant blow; therefore, we shall observe its outcome.” I cannot be concerned about the matter until I receive the results. I believe that the challenge was inadequate, and I am grateful that the ground was slightly damp. Therefore, he was capable of moving. It could have been a very terrible pitch if it had been dry. “He’s been able to get a bit more movement in it these last couple of days so we’re hopeful that he’ll come out of it okay.”I have since decided not to appeal the decision.
