Celtic are unstoppable, if not invincible, and here’s why I can’t call this a Rangers comeback. Chris Sutton

Celtic supporters are beginning to draw parallels between the current team and the Invincibles from several years prior.

I believe it is premature to engage in such discussions at this time. Numerous obstacles remain to be addressed at this time.

It is premature to designate the class of 2024 as Invincibles; however, victories such as the recent one at Pittodrie suggest that they are beginning to resemble the Uncatchables.

The victory against a formidable Aberdeen team was significant, particularly given the adverse conditions.

Such victories are the types that secure championships. Celtic did not perform at their optimal level; however, given the challenging conditions characterized by fierce winds and frigid rain, such an outcome was to be anticipated.

It was not an evening suited for the faint-hearted; nevertheless, Celtic discovered a means to prevail.

Holding a seven-point advantage over Aberdeen, with a match in hand, and an eleven-point lead over Rangers at this juncture is significant.

While there remains a considerable distance to traverse, it is challenging to envision a means by which they can be impeded.

The advantageous aspect for Brendan Rodgers is that every member of his squad is contributing to the team’s efforts.

Examine his team and the substitutions made during the previous evening’s match. He implemented six alterations to the lineup from the European match for Ross County, four of which resulted in goals.

He returned four of them to Pittodrie; however, it was the players who emerged from the bench that ultimately secured the victory.

I believed that Luke McCowan was somewhat unjustly overlooked for a starting position against Aberdeen, particularly in light of his performance against County.

The midfielder could hardly have performed better, having both scored a goal and assisted in the creation of three additional goals, notwithstanding the lackluster performance of the opposing team.

Upon receiving the opportunity to participate at Pittodrie, he made a significant impression.

The same applies to Adam Idah. He was yet another individual who, regrettably, did not remain in the lineup.

While Kyogo posed a significant challenge, it was his substitute who truly enhanced Celtic’s offensive prowess, facilitating the delivery of passes into the penalty area.

Valle exhibited several noteworthy moments during the first half; however, it was Taylor who significantly contributed to the team’s understanding of the game in the second half, ultimately providing the pivotal assist for the winning goal.

I would like to witness him formalize a new contract with Celtic.

Taylor occasionally receives unwarranted criticism from a segment of the supporters.

While it is true that there are instances in which the Champions League may prove to be a challenge for him, such criticism is often unjustified.

However, he is not solitary in this regard, and he has consistently demonstrated over the years that he is an invaluable member of both the team and the squad.

I am uncertain whether he is awaiting a more lucrative offer or if he desires a change of environment.

However, it is important to recognize that he possesses considerable value and should be retained, even in the event that Rodgers seeks to acquire new players for that position.

It is a trivial concern regarding a Celtic team that is currently operating with considerable efficiency.

Rodgers is capable of implementing rotations without compromising the character of the team.

This represents a formidable position, which significantly contributes to the difficulty of envisioning any team surpassing them this season.

The situation is quite telling when the club’s record signing remains on the bench without eliciting any noticeable reaction from observers.

The situation involving Arne Engels is noteworthy, particularly as the Belgian has been removed from the competitive environment at Aberdeen.

It is possible that Rodgers is affording him an opportunity to recuperate following a series of challenging games in which he did not perform as expected.

I have observed that fans are asserting he has now fallen to the fifth position in the hierarchy of midfielders, with McCowan having ascended above him in the order of preference.

I do not share that perspective, and I am inclined to believe that Rodgers does not hold that view either. He will not possess a hierarchical structure.

The determination will primarily focus on identifying the individuals best equipped for each game on any particular day. There is no question that McCowan has fully immersed himself in the situation.

Rea executed an impressive goal the other evening; however, I do not believe that his overall performance was particularly outstanding.

It was somewhat unexpected that Paulo Bernardo was the player substituted instead of him; however, the decision ultimately proved to be advantageous.

That late goal would have been a devastating blow to the Dons, and particularly to Rangers in the vicinity.

It appears that points were poised to be forfeited and the margin was set to be diminished. Celtic demonstrated the fortitude necessary to ensure that such an occurrence did not transpire.
