Luis Palma, a winger for Celtic, will be hoping to build on a good first season in green and white when the season starts again in 2024/25.

The Honduran player came and went from Brendan Rodgers’ lineup in the second half of last season. Still, he had a great season in 2023–24, scoring ten goals and setting up ten more in 36 games [Transfermarkt].

Palma has done very well while playing for his country at the international level this summer. He had three goals in Honduras’s 6-1 win over Bermuda earlier this month.

The man who used to be Aris is getting ready to go back to Lennoxtown. He has cleared up some rumors about his current position and explained what he plans to do in the new season.

Luis Palma talks about what’s important to him at Celtic in 2024–25.

In an interview with Deportes TVC, Palma denied rumors that he is unhappy at Celtic and said that his main goal is to get off to a good start at the club from pre-season onwards.

“That’s the first time I’ve heard that,” he said. That didn’t come from anywhere. I’ve only been at Celtic for a year. I have four years left on my deal.

“My attention is on the new season and getting back to the level I was at when I first got here.” I’ll be back to that in no time.

“The off-season is important for me because I want to work harder to make sure we win again.” This week is the start of preseason at Celtic, but I have extra days off because I played for my country.

You get the sense that Palma can’t wait for the new season to start. This is his perfect chance to break into Rodgers’ starting lineup in pre-season, before the real games start.

His first effect at Celtic was very stunning. He was still very good, but injuries and health problems made him less important as 2023–24 went on, which is a shame because he was so talented.

We hope that he can come back to Lennoxtown refreshed after a well-earned break over the summer.
