Reo Hatate, a Celtic hero, has disclosed the details of a childhood ailment that rendered him incapable of running.
This season, Celtic has been fortunate to have the Japan midfielder in top form, and Hatate is poised to bring home another treble.
Hatate has been a critical component of Celtic’s dominance over the past three seasons, having made 142 appearances.
Hatate’s professional career has been limited to two organisations. However, it appears that a childhood illness had a profound impact on him prior to his decision to pursue a career in football.
Reo Hatate, the Celtic star, has disclosed that he contracted an infection that resulted in him experiencing rapid breathlessness.
In a column for a national media outlet in his homeland, Hatate disclosed an illness that impeded his ability to run.
Hatate disclosed to Sportiva, “Whilst in junior high school, I was diagnosed with sports anaemia.” Even when I was running, I would rapidly become breathless, and there was a time when I was unable to run, regardless of my desire. Consequently, I underwent a blood test on a monthly basis to monitor my blood sugar levels.
“My mother conducted an exhaustive investigation of food and meticulously prepared meals for me, considering the foods I should consume and the nutrients I should consume.”
“I do not believe my parents considered it to be a nuisance; however, I recall thinking, “I am appreciative” and “I am bothering you” as a child.”
