There is new information about Kasper Schmeichel’s injury from Brendan Rodgers.

He got hurt while playing for Germany against Portugal, so the Celtic custodian will not be able to play this weekend against Hearts at Parkhead.

The 38-year-old has been getting tests to find out what the real problem is and how long Rodgers might have to worry about losing his stopper.

Kasper Schmeichel has gone to Celtic to get tests on his injuries.
It’s likely that Viljami Sinisalo will fill in for Schmeichel, but when asked about Schmeichel’s shoulder problem, the boss sounded nervous because he couldn’t say when he might be back.

He told them, “Well, we don’t know how long he’ll be out.” We haven’t heard anything about that yet.

“It’s clear that his shoulder is giving him trouble.” He’s fine, I told him the other day. He is clearly upset that they lost their second game, but he’s fine in general.

Then, which seemed like a bad sign, Rodgers was asked if his goalkeeper’s season could end while the Scottish Cup was still up for grabs.

He also said, “I don’t know.” We’re still waiting for the scan results.

Schmeichel’s injury got worse because some parts of the Danish media were critical of him after their 5-2 loss to Portugal.

Rodgers on Schmeichel’s criticism of Denmark

Nicklas Bendtner told Schmeichel to quit, and the PFA had to step in and demand that the writer who wrote a bad article about the player say sorry.

For Rodgers, he told the Dane to ignore all the negative comments because he is still a great player.

Rodgers said, “One, I haven’t seen it.” What was said? I don’t know.

“All I know about Kasper is that he’s still a great custodian, which is why I brought him here.” He has been absolutely fantastic for us this season, as you can see by how well he has played.

“He’s played really well in big games.” He still wants to play and is hungry. It’s sad that when feedback comes, it’s not always polite and gets personal.

I think Kasper is a great custodian. Since he joined the club, he’s been great, and he’s been a great representative for his country.
