Celtic F.C defender Liam Scales gave detailed explanation on what their head coach Brendan Rodgers have prepared for next season so that they win the league ahead of Rangers again
As Celtic begin their pre-season training after the summer break, there is a sense of newness in the camp.
Some players, like Alistair Johnston, have been on international service with their countries (he is still at Copa America), while others have been relaxing after a busy 2023–24 season.
Regardless, Brendan Rodgers’ team has returned and is already preparing for the new season. Their goal will be to win more trophies for Celtic and do well on the continent.
The unexpected performance of Liam Scales last season has now shed light on why the manager’s methods will help the Bhoys in their upcoming trophy hunt.
The way Brendan Rodgers plans his plays is praised by Liam Scales.
Rodgers did need some time to get his new tactics framework up and running at Celtic last season, which is normal since he was replacing Ange Postecoglou’s unique system.
Still, Scales thinks that the manager’s time spent making his point will help the Bhoys this season, since they won’t have to change as much.
“When the manager took over last season, he needed time to get his message across and get us working the way he wanted us to,” he said about Celtic FC.
“Since he already had that, we won’t have to work on it as much this year, which is good for us.” Our goal is clear: we are here to complete the task at hand.
“We had a good end to the season and have been building on that.” Intensity and mood should be the same for everyone, which is what we’re going to do. We had a good pre-season and played some friendly games on tour. By the first week of August, we’ll all be fit and ready to go.
At the moment, it looks like the Celtic team’s only goal is to push themselves during pre-season, which is a tough time for players because they have to do a lot of hard fitness and endurance work.
Still, Scales seems ready for the task because he knows he has a starting spot to defend in the team, even though there might be more competition for it.
