Celtic F.C. Forward Adam Idah delivers an honest admission after Celtic’s vs Falkirk

After beating Falkirk 5-2 in the Premier Sports Cup quarterfinal yesterday, Celtic did enough to make sure they would go to Hampden for the first time this season.

Even though John McGlynn’s team played their best, the Bhoys came back from being down 2-1 to win thanks to two goals each from Adam Idah and Nicolas Kuhn after Paulo Bernardo’s equalizer.

Brendan Rodgers praised Falkirk’s guts at Celtic Park and their ability to play “through the phases,” even though it was hard to play in front of a nervous home crowd that got angry when the Bhoys were trying to win the game.

In the end, though, Celtic won because their game-changers came off the bench to change the course of the match. This set up a thrilling match against Aberdeen in November for a spot in the championship final.

After scoring a goal, Republic of Ireland player Idah told the truth about how he felt about the game.

In his review of the game, Idah said that Celtic may have underestimated Falkirk, which put them in a tough spot that they had to fight their way out of.

Still, the Cork-born forward was thrilled that his team came back from a tough spot to make it to Hampden in exciting fashion.

As you can see, it’s always hard to come back and play these games after the game last week. They should be praised for how well they did. Between halves, we told ourselves, “This is what the best teams do: they come back.” We did it to be fair to the boys.

In the end, he said, “Look, it was a whole new squad.” A lot of us haven’t played together before, which is tough, but I think it was just our attitude going into the game. We just played in the Champions League and beat them, so I think it was our lack of respect for them.

“I think we didn’t expect them to be as good as they were; it kind of blew us away.” There are tough games, but big teams show what they can do. I thought we did that in the second half.

Adam Idah drives home the point that Celtic should think.
In a bold move, Idah has admitted in public that Celtic may not have fully understood how scary Falkirk could be on their own turf.

Unfortunately, these things do happen in sports sometimes. But, remembering this when you win can be helpful in the long run.

In the future, Celtic will always be on guard, no matter who they play. No matter what you’re doing, you need to be alert to deal with the threat.

To be honest, you would learn this lesson faster if you won than if you lost. In the end, the Bhoys came back from being down twice, with Idah leading the way to the semi-final and showing why the boss can rely on him.
