Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart lauded Aberdeen winger James Forrest profusely following his strike on Saturday.

With just under thirty minutes remaining on the allotment of regular time, the seasoned attacker entered the game and immediately made an impact by rifling into the far corner from outside the box.

Yang and the others were instructed by Forrest on the process, and Hart predicted that the strike would prevail.

The number one could not have praised the 32-year-old more highly. He told the Glasgow Times, “I wish his goal [in the loss to Aberdeen] had been the decisive one.”

“He has performed admirably. I am unable to hold him in higher regard as an individual.

James establishes criteria. This season, he has been left out of rosters; however, he has performed exceptionally well in training each day.

“Illness issues have arisen, the club has entered into contractual obligations with other players, and such is the nature of affairs at the highest level.

“However, James Forrest has not hesitated. Each time James Forrest has been summoned, he has delivered an outstanding performance.

“In training, he is extraordinary; when he entered the game on Saturday, he remarkably calmed us down; he was phenomenal.”

“I wish we could have ended the game in the first half with a 2-1 lead, and James would have been the one to have discussed the aftermath.”

Despite the remarkable recovery of hamstring injury victim Daizen Maeda, who may be available to return for Hearts’ trip to Parkhead the following weekend, Forrest will continue to have an impact on the team until the end of the season.

The veteran has made crucial contributions at point guard this season, his experience being indispensable for a team beset by injuries.

Numerous supporters are urging him to be selected for the squad in Dundee this weekend, which is not unusual considering his performance on Saturday.
