Celtic F.C verdict on the 25-year-old Defender Liam Scales performance during Celtic vs Hearts match clash

Celtic defender Liam Scales is loving his life at Parkhead after signing a new deal with the team earlier this week.

The Republic of Ireland player has signed a four-year extension in the east end of Glasgow. This is a huge improvement from last summer, when he was close to leaving for good at Aberdeen.

After the Bhoys’ convincing 3-0 win over Heart of Midlothian yesterday, Greg Taylor praised his defensive partner, who has become a regular player as a result.

“He worked hard, went to Aberdeen and did well, and then came back just hoping to get an opportunity,” the Scotland player said. Some boys don’t get that chance, but he did, and he seized it.”

Scales played his 41st game of the season against Steven Naismith’s team. He and Cameron Carter-Vickers kept things tight, and Celtic kept their third clean sheet in six games.

The former Shamrock Rovers player will want to make the most of his free time by winning both the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup by the end of the season. However, there is still a lot of work to be done before that can happen.

Liam Scales is an important part of Celtic’s win over Hearts.
As a defender, getting a new deal and keeping a clean sheet in the same week must feel good. Scales will be happy with his work as Celtic beat Hearts to stay in first place.

According to Fotmob, the Irishman had great numbers when he had the ball. He completed 62 of the 74 passes he tried, which is 84%, and six of those passes went into the final third. He also got 78 touches on the ball and wasn’t thrown off once, which helped build threats from deep.

Scales had a good game on defense. He recovered the ball six times, won all of his ground duels, did two “defensive actions,” cleared the ball once, and cleared it with a head.

The 25-year-old is almost certain to start against Rangers because the Glasgow Derby is coming up next. Another great game like the one he had at Ibrox in September would be the perfect way to support his contract renewal.

Celtic will know what they need to do next Saturday, and Rodgers’ team will be keen to win because a win could help them win the Scottish Premiership title.
