This weekend, Heart of Midlothian will come to Parkhead, where Celtic will keep trying to win the Scottish Premiership title.

Brendan Rodgers has taken his team to a three-point lead at the top of the table. They could expand that lead to six points by beating Steven Naismith’s team.

In Celtic’s 2-1 win over Dundee on Tayside last weekend, James Forrest scored both goals. The away team put a lot of pressure on Celtic in the second half, but they held on.

On the bright side, Japan international Daizen Maeda might be able to play this weekend if he can avoid a knee problem. We will find out for sure at Rodgers’ press conference later this week.

At this point in the season, it’s unlikely that the Irishman will make too many changes to his starting lineup. However, club captain Callum McGregor hasn’t played a full 90 minutes since coming back from injury against Rangers earlier this month, so his fitness will need to be closely watched [Transfermarkt].

Before this game, Hearts needed two points to secure third place. They also had the upper hand in the last three meetings between the two teams, winning two of them and Celtic only once at Tynecastle.

On Saturday at 3 p.m., the Hoops will play in front of a sold-out Parkhead crowd as they try to move closer to winning the Scottish Premiership title.

With officials and VAR in place, Celtic is getting ready to play Hearts.
More and more, the referees and VAR workers have been announced for this weekend’s game between Celtic and Hearts.

Kevin Clancy, who is in first place, will be the one to call the fight. Chris Rae and Daniel McFarlane, who are set to play on either line [Scottish FA], will help him.

Nick Walsh has been named the main VAR worker at Parkhead. Gary Hilland is also available in case there are any tense situations that need a second set of eyes. Finally, Colin Steven is the fourth judge this time.

Celtic knows that they need to win this weekend in order to put real pressure on Rangers. If they do, they could be six points ahead of our city rivals before they play Kilmarnock the next day.

Rodgers’ team should be able to put on a great show and get all three points in front of a packed home crowd. Let’s go, Hoops!

Andy Walker says Celtic should change their strategy before their game against Hearts.

Celtic getting three points against Hearts is very important because it means we can move six points ahead of Rangers in the league standings before their game at home against Kilmarnock on Sunday.

The 59-year-old said that Maeda should take Kuhn’s place back as long as he gets over his current fitness problems in time.

When Walker first looked at Forrest’s style, he said, “I’d keep him in the side.” He’s in great shape and feeling great. I would put him on one side and Masahiko on the other. Kuhn would be left out. I think Kuhn has been fine, nothing special. And James Forrest knows what it takes because he has been there and taken the course before.

Celtic, you know you have two home games left against Hearts and Rangers. Win both of them, and you’ll win the title again.”

Rodgers has a lot to think about as he tries to get the process of choosing his teams for the rest of the season just right.

There is a lot at stake for Celtic because two titles are very close. No one on the playing staff or management team can make a mistake because of the close calls that come with these situations.

It was decided that the Irishman should be brought back to Parkhead to make money under pressure. Hopefully, he can easily reach his goals.
