Following the Bhoys’ victory over Hibernian at Easter Road on Sunday, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers provided an update on the team’s current condition.

Nicolas Kuhn and Callum McGregor scored the goals in a 2-0 victory for the away team, which maintains the reigning champions’ position at the summit of the Scottish Premiership.

Mikey Johnston sustained a head injury late in the match, and Kyogo Furuhashi and Alistair Johnston sustained injuries during the clash.

Fortunately, none of them appear to be the cause of concern. Nevertheless, Luis Palma sustained an ankle injury during the victory over Kilmarnock last week, necessitating a period of inactivity.

Rodgers has disclosed that Palma’s absence from Edinburgh was due to Brad Lyons’ yellow card for a poor challenge on the Honduran in the 4-0 victory.

According to the Celtic manager [Glasgow World], “Mikey Johnston was a precaution.” A slight sense of confusion enveloped him. His vision was slightly hazy.

“Alistair Johnston experienced a slight tightness; however, there is no need to take a chance when Anthony is present.”

“From ten days to a few weeks, Palma is unavailable.” I believe that the injury he sustained was quite severe when you re-watch the challenge. In light of the rotation in his ankle, he performed miraculously to continue playing. There is still some time before he arrives.

Rodgers disclosed to Sky Sports that Kyogo was experiencing shoulder discomfort. It is evident that the men have attempted to reinstall it; however, he has experienced the discomfort. Therefore, we were unwilling to take that chance. We are optimistic that he will recover within the next few days.

Increased depth is required in critical positions for Celtic.
The necessity for a greater profundity is particularly evident in the Kyogo issue. If necessary, Daizen Maeda and other competitors can step in; however, this is not the optimal solution.

Chris Sutton also observed this in his response to today’s contest.

A reputable center-forward is required to assist Kyogo and instill confidence in the team’s ability to score goals in the absence of the Japanese sensation.

Despite the ongoing saga involving Adam Idah, Celtic require an additional replacement from the transfer market.
