Celtic Fc have identified a replacement for Kyogo Furuhashi after interest made by Manchester City

This week, many Celtic fans will be scared to think about losing Kyogo Furuhashi to Manchester City. According to reports, Man City will decide in the next few days whether to make an offer for the Celtic striker.

If Matt O’Riley also goes to Brighton, the Parkhead fans could lose two of their best players. Kiryu Furuhashi has been a big success at Celtic. His 73 goals have helped the club win seven of the last nine trophies. But since Kyogo could go to Manchester City, Michael Stewart thinks Celtic don’t have to look too far for a replacement.

It is possible for Celtic to use Daizen Maeda as a striker. Like Kyogo, Daizen Maeda has been a big part of Celtic’s success over the last three years. Kyogo didn’t play in the League Cup win over Hibs, so Maeda filled in. According to Stewart, Maeda has now given Brendan Rodgers something to think about.

“Maeda has shown himself,” Stewart told The Scottish Football Social Club. “I think here in Scotland we felt that maybe he wasn’t an option through the middle.”Yes, I know he’s played there for Japan, but against Hibs, he looked more than ready. It looked like he was a good choice.

From last week, you know that Kyogo might be hurt, they haven’t signed Adam Idah yet, and you think they don’t have a striker.

All of a sudden, you look around and see that they have three. They can do one of three things. Things happen quickly in sports, and things are looking good for Celtic there.

There’s also no reason to think Maeda couldn’t do that job if it came up. Our Japanese player has played as a striker before, so he is used to playing that role. As it turns out, Maeda has also played as a striker for Yokohama F Marinos and Mito HollyHock before he joined Celtic.

The only thing that worries me is that he doesn’t always end well, but if he can get that down, who knows? If Kyogo leaves Celtic, Maeda might be the best guy to fill in up front.
