Celtic Fc moves takes some conditional steps to sign 21 years-old forward for Danish Superliga club Brøndby
According to sources who spoke with Football Insider, Celtic have begun negotiations with Brondby, a Danish club, in order to acquire the services of striker Mathias Kvistgaarden this month.
It is reported that the Hoops are still in the process of negotiating a contract to acquire the 21-year-old player, who has been a standout in the Danish top flight this season.
As a result of a large number of players leaving for the Asian Cup, including Hyeongyu Oh, Daizen Maeda, and Hyunjun Yang, the team managed by Brendan Rodgers is continuing to be active in the market this month. They are looking to strengthen their offense in order to compensate for the absence of these players.
According to information that was disclosed by Football Insider on the 28th of December, the Hoops have prioritized acquiring a striker, a central midfielder, and a left winger during the transfer window held in January.
Sources have indicated that Celtic are currently putting the finishing touches on a deal to acquire Nicolas Kuhn, and that the deal is now almost complete.
Kvistgaarden, on the other hand, has played both as a striker and as a winger throughout his career. This season, he has made 21 appearances in all competitions, and he has scored seven goals and assisted seven others.
Ever since the academy product made his debut in November of 2020, he has shown to be an indispensable asset for Brondby.
The new contract that Kvistgaarden signed with the club in May ensures that he will be under contract with the organization until the summer of 2027.
The outstanding player, who was born in 2002, has made 81 appearances for Brondby and amassed 21 goals and 12 assists. He was also instrumental in the team’s victory in the league championship game during the 2021-22 season.
Ever since he made his debut for Denmark’s under-18 team in September 2019, he has been a consistent member of the country’s young teams. His most recent appearance was for the under-21 team, which competed against Wales in a European Championship qualifying match.
Celtic, who are now in first place in the league, have an eight-point advantage over Rangers, who are in second place, before the Christmas break. They will next compete against Buckie Thistle in the Scottish Cup on January 21.
“So good for the club” – Celtics Fc transfer plan for Liel Abada has been finally been exposed, coincidentally with Brendan Rodgers’s aim to acquire Israeli and Nicolas Kuhn players.
It is not believed that the imminent arrival of Nicolas Kuhn is a forerunner to the possibility of Abada leaving the company either.
According to Celtic, Liel Abada is expected to play a significant part in the second half of the season, despite the fact that there is growing uncertainty regarding the winger’s future.
Since Hamas launched an attack on the player’s hometown at the beginning of October, which triggered the start of war in the Middle East, Boss Brendan Rodgers has had a number of heart-to-heart meetings with Abada. These conversations have taken place multiple times. Following the torrent of high-profile pro-Palestinian demonstrations from a part of Celtic’s support following Israel’s ground invasion of Gaza, a number of prominent Israeli voices have called on the 22-year-old player to find a new club. This comes after the Israeli government launched a ground invasion of Gaza.
Furthermore, concerns regarding Abada’s status have intensified with the start of a £3 million transfer by the SPFL winners to acquire the services of Nicolas Kuhn, a wide player for Rapid Vienna. The negotiations between the two teams continued yesterday. According to Record Sport’s understanding, Abada has never once requested to be sold or even to leave the club on loan until the situation in his native country has been stabilized. This is something that Record Sport has learned from his conversations with Rodgers.
Rodgers is currently making preparations for the upcoming push toward the championship, and Abada is playing a key role in the plans that he is making. Celtic are still hopeful that they will be able to negotiate a deal for German Kuhn, who is 24 years old, in the coming days. The Irishman is aiming to add to his attacking options rather than lose quality, and Celtic are also hopeful that they will successfully overcome some difficult opposition.
Markus Katzer, the sporting director of Rapid Vienna, offered his confirmation late last night, saying, “In principle, I don’t want to comment on any rumors.” With that being said, I can confirm that we do in fact have concrete offers on the table for Nicolas Kuhn; however, I do not wish to mention the clubs that are interested in him.
