Celtic head coach Brendan Rodgers reacts and speak on a “Leaked video” going viral of the striker Adam Idah vomiting
Brendan Rodgers, the Celtic manager, has responded to the viral video of Adam Idah, a striker, during a night out.
Idah, who was initially loaned to Celtic from Norwich City last year, tallied nine goals in 19 games for the Glasgow team.
It was made permanent over the summer when he signed a five-year contract at Parkhead. He has scored 14 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions for the Bhoys, who are on the brink of retaining their Scottish Premiership title for the fourth consecutive season.
Nevertheless, enquiries have arisen following the virality of a video that depicted the 24-year-old in a somewhat dishevelled state.
Idah appears to be vomiting in a short video that was captured in the rear of a taxi. He appears disoriented and says, “Oh my God man, oh f*****g hell!” before leaning out of the door and being comforted by two women.
Journalists have enquired about the video with Celtic manager Rodgers in anticipation of the Glasgow team’s Scottish Cup semi-final match against St Johnstone this weekend.
Additionally, the former Liverpool and Leicester City coach has provided his perspective on the situation, stating that Idah had contacted him yesterday to inform him of the events.
Rodgers has seized the opportunity to offer his support to Idah, citing that the player was on a day off when these events occurred. He also expressed his disappointment that the player is unable to “let his hair down” in his free time without being captured on a mobile phone.
He stated, “I have not observed anything; however, Adam contacted me yesterday to provide me with a comprehensive account of the events.”
“I conversed with him once more this morning.” It is tinged with melancholy. He is aware of my mentality and focus, as is the group.
“However, this occurred on a day off.” The most disheartening aspect of this situation is that a 24-year-old football player is unable to relax in his free time without someone attempting to record him.
“This is the current challenge for all individuals, but it is particularly difficult for young football players.”
“I obtained the complete narrative from him.” I am unequivocally convinced that he is an exceptional young professional.
“He exerts himself to the fullest in order to become the most exceptional player possible.” His nutritionist is independent of the club, and he performs additional duties.
“Therefore, I have no reservations about that.” It is unfortunate that these elements are combined to create an appearance that is significantly more detrimental than it actually is.
“I have not personally observed it; however, I have heard some of the other individuals discuss it.” I have no doubts about his mentality, but he must contend with that. He had an evening off on Wednesday, and we were off on Thursday.
“We have an abundance of time prior to the game on Sunday.” Therefore, I concur with Adam’s assessment.
