Celtic player ratings vs. Aberdeen after shameless draw match with two-goal advantage wasted
Brendan Rodgers and his team were forced to forfeit three points at Parkhead after Celtic squandered a two-goal lead due to an error-filled second half.
Reo Hatate scored the opening goal for a merciless Celtic in the first half with a well-executed first-time finish inside the box after Kyogo cut the ball back.
The Japanese striker scored the second goal shortly thereafter, and it appeared that the Bhoys would continue to accumulate a cricket tally.
However, the game began to change dramatically after Aberdeen introduced two substitutes following the interval. The Dons surged back into the game with goals from Ester Sokler and Graeme Shinnie, causing Celtic to appear vulnerable.
The Hoops were rocked by Aberdeen, and their remarkable revival appeared to be complete when they appeared to have made it 3-2. However, the goal was appropriately disallowed due to handball, much to the relief of the Celtic supporters who were observing the game through their fingers.
The conclusion of the game was exhilarating, as Celtic relentlessly bombarded Aberdeen’s goal. Duk made a significant block on the line, and Dimitar Mitov made some remarkable saves to prevent the host team from scoring.
It was an exceptional advertisement for Scottish football that was not broadcast on live television; however, Celtic’s unblemished league record was ultimately shattered.
