Anthony Ralston – five
It is evident that Ralston is not a suitable substitute for Alistair Johnston. However, he will serve as the primary right-back until the Canadian is able to return to the field in December.
Dane Murray – seven
The youth rarely made a mistake while growing up in a Celtic shirt. Was not subjected to an extensive amount of testing; however, was impressed when summoned to action.
Liam Scales (C) – six
The Irishman’s performance was satisfactory; however, his central defensive partner was superior.
Hayato Inamura – seven
A consistent performance from an individual who was informed by Brendan Rodgers that he was not worthy of the Champions League. Nowhere near Kieran Tierney’s quality but looked respectable.
Paulo Bernardo – six
Substitute Johnny Kenny scored a third goal for the Bhoys with a remarkable first-time finish following Daizen Maeda’s cross from the left.
In the captain’s absence, he maintained control by adopting the role of Callum McGregor. The Portuguese midfielder has made a commendable recovery.
Arne Engels – six
Demonstrated some commendable movement and incorporated some innovative elements; however, it was still somewhat discouraging to observe.
Luke McCowan – five
Several times during the first half, the object was lost. It is simply not as effective from the outset. Subbed off with an injury in the 56th minute.
Benjamin Nygren – nine
He appeared to be at ease in his position on the right flank and performed exceptionally well in the lead-up to his tap-in opener. The player who scored two goals, the second of which was a superb finish, was undoubtedly the finest on the field.
Yang Hyun-jun – six
No one was able to capitalize on the crosses that were delivered. It was sufficient to score with a free header that was superbly saved by the Livi goalkeeper.
Shin Yamada – six
A goal was scored, but it was ultimately disallowed. He is quick, agile, and enjoys making dashes in the back. Worked diligently and had numerous opportunities to score.
Callum McGregor (sub) – five
When the captain was introduced in the second half, it was business as usual.
James Forrest (sub) – 5 A couple of crosses and shots from the right flank.
Daizen Maeda (sub) – six
Contributed to Johnny Kenny’s goal by driving a powerful cross into the area from the left.
Johnny Kenny (sub) – 7 Captures the corner that ultimately resulted in Nygren’s second goal and contributes to the team’s tally with a superb volleyed finish shortly thereafter.
Colby Donovan (sub) – four
The youngster’s competitive Celtic début. Proud day for him and his family.
