In advance of their Saturday night match against Hearts, Celtic have received a significant injury boost. Striker Adam Idah has resumed training after withdrawing from international duty with Ireland due to an injury.

10th November 2024; Rugby Park, Kilmarnock, Scotland: Scottish Premiership Football, Kilmarnock versus Celtic; Adam Idah of Celtic celebrates after he tries to turn in Callum McGregor of Celtic cross with the ball ending up in the back of the net and the goal being credited to Callum McGregor of Celtic in the 49th minute of the first half

The peculiar 7:45 pm kick-off adds an additional dimension of intrigue to the match, as the Hoops endeavour to preserve their unbeaten Premiership streak.

Idah’s availability offers manager Brendan Rodgers an additional attacking option; however, it is uncertain whether he will be selected ahead of Kyogo Furuhashi, who has been heading the line with confidence. Idah’s most recent injury complications have been extensively documented.

He was subjected to a brutal challenge by Liam Gordon during Celtic’s victory at Fir Park and experienced additional discomfort at Rugby Park, where he required extended treatment for a bloodied nose. His recovery from these setbacks provides Celtic with a much-needed boost as they negotiate a congested fixture schedule.

Against a Hearts team that is renowned for their combative approach, Idah’s physical presence and youthful legs could be advantageous. In recent days, Kyogo has travelled to and from Japan, but he has only played a small number of minutes. Consequently, he should not be overly fatigued.
