Celtic’s Callum Osmand breaks silence on his injury comeback ahead of the Kilmarnock match!

Celtic striker Callum Osmand has admitted he’s been left heartbroken by his recent injury setback but has promised supporters that he’ll come back stronger than ever.

The 19-year-old, who became a Celtic hero last weekend after scoring against Rangers in the League Cup semi-final, endured a cruel twist of fate when he was forced off during Thursday’s 3-1 Europa League defeat to FC Midtjylland.

Taking to Instagram, Osmand reflected on a whirlwind week of highs and lows:

“Devastated. From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows,” he wrote. “Heartbroken at the timing of this injury as I just began to get going. Grateful for everyone around me and for all the messages — I’ll be back stronger.”

His heartfelt message has drawn widespread support from fans and teammates alike, with many praising the young striker’s resilience and determination. Interim boss Martin O’Neill had only just handed Osmand his first real chance in the senior side, and his performances hinted at a bright future.

With Kelechi Iheanacho still sidelined and limited attacking options ahead of the weekend clash with Kilmarnock, Osmand’s absence is a blow for Celtic. But his mindset suggests this is only a pause — not the end — of his story in green and white.
