Celtic’s newly released video of Alistair Johnston in action on the training ground has left fans thrilled.

Celtic supporters will be thrilled by the latest training clips featuring Alistair Johnston.

The Canadian international has been sidelined since Celtic’s draw with Kairat Almaty after tearing his hamstring — a major setback for Brendan Rodgers’ side, despite strong performances from youngster Colby Donovan and Scotland international Anthony Ralston in his absence.

Initially expected to miss around 12 weeks, Johnston’s recovery seems to be progressing faster than anticipated. Celtic have now released footage showing the 27-year-old back in training, looking sharp and confident.

The right-back has returned to the pitch as he works toward full fitness following the injury sustained in the Champions League clash.

Although Johnston has missed seven matches so far and is unlikely to feature in Sunday’s fixture against Dundee, fans will take great encouragement from seeing him moving freely and looking stronger. What matters most to the Celtic faithful is that Johnston is back on the training ground and ahead of schedule for a return to Rodgers’ starting XI.
