22-year-old Chelsea F.C. forward Cole Palmer breaks the silence and reveals who is a much better footballer between Lionel Messi and the 39-year-old Al-Nassr striker Cristiano Ronaldo
The Chelsea winger had something to say to the ones who used to play for Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The fight over whether Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo is football’s GOAT is an interesting one that will probably go on forever. But Cole Palmer of Chelsea has made it clear which side he is on.
The lives of these two players are coming to an end, but they have been the best two players in the last 15 years.
Messi won the Ballon d’Or eight times after coming up through Barcelona’s youth team. He also won many other awards while playing for the Catalan club and leaving behind what many people consider to be the best career of all time.
In 778 games at Camp Nou, he scored an amazing 672 goals and helped the team win 10 La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues.
The forward left Barcelona in 2021 and played for two years with Paris Saint-Germain in France. He then moved to the Major League Soccer (MLS) and Inter Miami last summer.
Cristiano Ronaldo is the other contender. He has won five Ballon d’Or awards and has played for Sporting CP, Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester United twice, and is now with Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
He is 39 years old and has won league titles in England, Spain, and Italy. At Old Trafford and the Santiago Bernabeu, he also won five Champions Leagues.
Both Messi and Ronaldo have won trophies with their countries. Ronaldo has won the European Championships and the UEFA Nations League with Portugal, while Messi has won the World Cup and two Copa Americas.
The debate over which of these two players is football’s true GOAT continues to split players and fans. Now, Chelsea attacker Palmer, who scored 25 goals for the team after moving from Manchester City, has given his own opinion on the matter.
Palmer had a knockout with GOAL, which you can see above. He said that Kevin De Bruyne was the best player he had ever played with, Messi was the player he wanted to be as a child, Kylian Mbappe is the best player in the world right now, and Wayne Rooney is the best English player of all time.
Palmer also agreed that he would take a penalty if his life depended on it. He also said that Toni Kroos was the best passer, Neymar was the best dribbler, and CR7 was the best scorer in football history.
Palmer then put the eight players he named through a knockout round. When it came down to Messi vs. Ronaldo, the England star chose Messi.
