Chris Davies admitted his disappointment after Birmingham City fell to a 1-0 defeat against Derby County, insisting his side got exactly what they deserved.
He felt his team were far below the required level in the first half, lacking attacking threat, physical presence, and ultimately conceding a poor goal.
Davies did acknowledge an improvement after the break, with Birmingham seeing more of the ball and pushing higher up the pitch, but he admitted they still lacked the quality in the final third to make it count.
While the second-half display was better, he accepted that it couldn’t make up for the earlier performance, concluding that the 1-0 result was a fair reflection of the game overall.
