Cristiano Ronaldo ceases to consider the long term subsequent to designating a 1000-goal objective for himself: ‘I am already the performer”
After establishing an objective of 1,000 goals, Cristiano Ronaldo ceases to consider the long term. “I am already the player.”Portugal’s most prominent figure Cristiano Ronaldo acknowledged that he is currently in a position in his career where he is unable to consider any long-term goals.
Ronaldo, the most prolific goal-scorer in sports history, has recently established an objective of scoring 1,000 goals prior to his retirement.
Nevertheless, he has now resolved to avoid adding to his own burden of expectations and instead to savour the present.
Ronaldo was recently presented with the Platinum Quinas, the most prestigious honour for a Portuguese player, by Portuguese Football Federation President Fernando Gomes at a gala event on Monday night.
Ronaldo expressed his desire to score 1,000 goals and stated that he would be content with achieving them. However, he would already be the player with the most goals in history if he were to fail.
This was following his receipt of the prestigious award. “I am now confronted with the reality of living in the present.” I am unable to think in the long term at this time. Despite my public declaration that I aspired to achieve 1,000 objectives, it appears that they are now effortlessly accomplished.
Last month, I achieved the milestone of 900. It is about experiencing the present moment and observing the way in which my legs will respond over the next few years.
Ronaldo stated, “I am already the player with the most goals in history if I achieve 1,000 goals, but if I do not, that is fine.”
The sole player to have scored 900 professional goals is the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, as his rival Lionel Messi has recently reached 850 and is currently losing ground in the contest.
Ronaldo has been setting goal-scoring records in the Saudi Pro League since his arrival in the winter transfer window of 2022.
Nevertheless, he has yet to secure a championship with Al Nassr. Last season, he was the league’s top goal-scorer; however, this season, he has made a sluggish start and has scored only six goals. On Tuesday, Ronaldo played a key role in Al Nassr’s 5-1 victory over the reigning Asian champions Al Ain in the AFC Champions League Elite.
The Portuguese sensation, who had failed to score in his previous three appearances for the Saudi Arabian team, scored the second of the hosts’ goals at Al Awwal Park in Riyadh.
