Cristiano Ronaldo has shared the one area in which he acknowledges that Lionel Messi surpasses him on the football field. Joe Frazier and Muhammad
Ali. Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant. Khabib Nurmagamedov and Conor McGregor. In the realm of sports, supporters are passionate about rivalries; however, none are as significant as the one between Messi and Ronaldo. Millions of fans worldwide contend that either individual is the finest footballer of all time, and both are among the most accomplished players to have ever taken the field. In spite of their intense rivalry, Ronaldo has acknowledged that Messi is superior in one respect. The sport has been dominated by both men, as evidenced by their numerous Ballon d’Or awards throughout their remarkable careers. And prior to Messi’s fifth award in 2016, for which Ronaldo was also nominated, the Portuguese striker publicly acknowledged his envy of Messi’s left foot.
But when Messi was asked the same question, he calmly told reporters that, while he respected Ronaldo, there was nothing about his rival that wishes that he had.
The Argentinian winger replied: “Envy is a very negative trait. Cristiano has many great qualities which every player would like to have. We each have our individual styles.”
