Luis Castro was fired by Al-Nassr, and Cristiano Ronaldo sent him a sweet goodbye message.
Al-Nassr, a big club in the Saudi Pro League, fired their Portuguese boss Luis Castro on Tuesday because the team had a rough start to the season. They tied two of their first three league games. As the 63-year-old left the club, star player Cristiano Ronaldo sent him a sweet message to say goodbye.

Ronaldo shared a picture of himself with Castro on Instagram and wrote, “Thank you for everything.”
Fabrizio Romano says that now that Castro is no longer with the club, the Saudi Arabian team has selected former AC Milan manager Stefano Piolo to be their new head coach. Pioli left the big teams in Serie A at the end of the 2023–24 season. He was rumored to be interested in moving to Al-Ittihad, but talks about a possible deal fell through.
Due to a viral infection, the 39-year-old missed Al-Nassr’s first AFC Champions League game against Al-Shorta on Monday. He should be able to play again before their Saudi Pro League match against Al-Ittihad on Friday.
