An incident that has not been discussed appears to have tarnished Celtic’s victory over St Johnstone in the Scottish Cup.

In the Scottich Cup semi-final, Celtic defeated St Johnstone 5-0, a team that was at risk of relegation, at Hampden.

Nevertheless, BBC presenter Richard Gordon has criticised the behaviour of the Perth club’s supporters in the stands.

However, it appears that there was a significant amount of additional activity during that period, and it is puzzling that no media outlet has addressed it.

St. Johnstone supporters hurled pyrotechnics at stewards during the Scottish Cup match against Celtic.
In the course of this season, Celtic fans have been subjected to criticism for their use of pyrotechnics; however, the actions of the St Johnstone fans at Hampden appear to have exceeded the acceptable limit.

Richard Gordon, the BBC Sportsound presenter, was so concerned that he called it out live on air.

Gordon stated on BBC Radio Scotland [2m 20s], “Well, fair play to the St Johnstone fans who have remained.” The players from the Saints, who have arrived to applaud them. Across the way, there is a relatively modest group.

“Just a few minutes into the match, the atmosphere was unbearable. They released approximately 20 flares and subsequently threw them at the stewards.”

“It was truly a dreadful sight to observe.” It is fortunate that the situation has been resolved, and they are currently offering their congratulations to the participants. They are aware that they have visited the location. They have provided everything, but my God, they have been thoroughly outplayed this afternoon.

The silence surrounding the pyrotechnic use by St Johnstone supporters is deafening; Celtic are held to a higher standard.
As previously mentioned, Celtic supporters are frequently subjected to criticism from the media and pundits for their use of pyrotechnics during domestic and European games.

The unlawful devices are currently prohibited, and they have no place in the game. For good reason.

Nevertheless, the silence surrounding the St. Johnstone fans’ decision to hurl fireworks at stewards who are merely present to ensure the safety of supporters is a disgrace, and it is also scandalous that absolutely nothing is being said about it.

You could guarantee that Celtic supporters would receive a plethora of headlines and criticism if this were to occur. The bitter taste is left by the dual standards that are on exhibit.
