Crystal Palace 2-0 Newcastle United F.C player ratings – as the defeat saddens team in general
Crystal Palace had 20 chances to score against Newcastle United at Selhurst Park, and they easily could have won by a bigger margin.
Newcastle had to defend in the first quarter of this midweek match in the capital, as Palace asked all the early questions at Selhurst Park. Before the half-hour mark, Newcastle had their best chance. Bruno Guimaraes whipped a beautiful ball into the path of Alexander Isak, but Dean Henderson rushed out to stop him.

He was completely open and angry with his defense as they fell to the ground.

This artist was one of the best that night. Didn’t look happy with his teammates as Palace found holes in their defense.
Sixth Sean Longstaff
Had a penalty claim after going over in the box. Started out well but died out before it could be taken off.
Sixth Bruno Guimaraes
Several good moves in the first half. After the break, when Newcastle needed something, he couldn’t give it to them.
Bruno Guimaraes 6
At least made a threat.

He had a bad start to the night because he missed a chance to do something good. From there, things got worse.
