David Beckham releases a “unbelievable” assessment of Cristiano Ronaldo as the Manchester United legend reflects on the iconic No. 7s.
At Manchester United, the legendary number seven uniform was shared by David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo. It is a shirt number that is
steeped in tradition and prestige, having been worn by the likes of Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, and George Best at Old Trafford. The No.7 uniform was subsequently transferred to David Beckham and subsequently to Cristiano Ronaldo, both of whom exceeded expectations and established themselves as legendary United wingers. Beckham and Ronaldo both contributed significantly to United’s Champions League triumphs in 1999 and 2008, and they each won numerous trophies at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson. Beckham is currently serving as the chairman of MLS team Inter Miami, while Ronaldo continues to contribute as a goalscorer for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr.David Beckham has the highest regard for Cristiano Ronaldo. Manchester United encountered an abundance of obligations during the summer of 2003. Only weeks after David Beckham was transferred to Real Madrid, an 18-year-old Ronaldo arrived from Sporting Lisbon. At the time, the Portuguese teenager was a relatively obscure figure; however, he proved to be an exceptional long-term replacement for Beckham on the wing. Beckham was effusive in his admiration for Ronaldo and his career when discussing the iconic players who have worn the number seven uniform with his former United teammate Rio Ferdinand.
