Rangers midfielders Nico Raskin and Mohamed Diomande have been branded “empty jerseys” by Heart & Hand podcast owner David Edgar following their showing against Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.
While the Gers have shown signs of improvement under Danny Rohl in recent weeks, their opening-half display against Hearts was well below the required standard. The Ibrox side went into the interval two goals down, with several players failing to perform.
Rangers’ struggles have brought renewed scrutiny on parts of the squad, with criticism lingering from the period under former boss Russell Martin.
With the January transfer window approaching, Rohl may look to move on underperforming players and reshape the squad with signings better suited to his style, as he looks to push the team forward.
Raskin and Diomande were among those singled out after the disappointing display.
