David Prutton has backed a 2-2 draw when Middlesbrough take on Sheffield United on Monday night.
Boro head to Bramall Lane in superb form, hoping to keep pace at the top of the Championship as Coventry City show signs of slipping. Kim Hellberg’s men have won five consecutive matches, with their last defeat coming on New Year’s Day against Derby County.
They began the weekend level on points with Coventry in the automatic promotion spots. Sheffield United, meanwhile, still have outside hopes of reaching the play-offs under Chris Wilder and will aim for a third win in four league outings.
Prutton praised Middlesbrough’s momentum but stressed the Blades’ need for points to stay in the top-six race. He labelled Boro as one of the promotion favourites but believes their winning streak will end in a 2-2 stalemate.
