Derek McInnes provides an explanation of how Kilmarnock can attempt to counteract the “devastating” Celtic attack.Celtic will disregard their Champions League triumph over RB Leipzig when they face Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership at Rugby Park this weekend. The travelling support will be aware that the Bhoys’ match against Derek

McInnes and his team is equally significant to their team’s mission this season, whether it is on the slopes of Rugby Park or the dazzling lights of Parkhead in midweek.Currently, Celtic are the leading team in the Scottish Premiership based on goal difference. However, Aberdeen could surpass them by securing three points or a draw against Dundee on Saturday evening. Brendan Rodgers will be resolute in his efforts to guarantee that his team returns to Glasgow with yet another victory, as the international break is scheduled to commence immediately following the final chime.

McInnes, the Kilmarnock manager, has issued his assessment of Celtic and his team’s strategy for responding to their recent success, following their comprehensive victory over Leipzig on Tuesday. Derek McInnes discusses his strategy for competing against Celtic. McInnes has acknowledged that he was impressed by the “devastating” performance of Celtic against Leipzig in an interview on the Warm-Up podcast. However, he is confident that his team will be a competitive force when the two clubs face off on Sunday.

He first referred to the Hoops’ midweek result, stating, “You see Leipzig, who got really after them. Effectively 4-4-2 out of possession, really chasing them down, and at times, had Celtic rocked (for) maybe 10-15 minutes.” However, Celtic performed well and ultimately prevailed. I believe that Celtic’s current performance is of exceptional quality. I found the concluding portion of the second half to be particularly mature, and they possess players who will exploit any available space.

“The speed can be devastating, so we must work together as a team to reduce the opportunities for them to exploit it. However, we must also acknowledge that skilled players will find ways to reach us.

We must ensure that we are as organised and compact as possible, while still attempting to be as authentic as possible. Therefore, it is my responsibility to seek out small details that I can sell to the players.

” The players are not naive; they observe Celtic playing at Hampden and winning on Tuesday night. The majority of them would witness the game. However, it is important to note that the majority of the players who will play on Sunday would have already played last season. Celtic are aware that they must be adequately prepared for Rugby Park.

Celtic will once again play on an artificial surface against Kilmarnock this weekend, regardless of the prevailing opinion. This may result in a slightly different dynamic than playing on grass.

Nevertheless, none of this serves as an excuse. McInnes and his team typically put up a fight against the Bhoys on their home turf, so there is not much new information to be gained prior to their encounter at Rugby Park.

Celtic have scored nine goals and conceded none in their last two encounters with the Ayrshire club, which is a promising sign. The Bhoys’ current form suggests that they will be resolute in their efforts to conclude the season in a grand manner on Sunday, prior to the international break.
