Despite Arsenal’s interest, Brentford implemented a high price tag for Bryan Mbêuo.
Brentford have purportedly set a high price tag of £50 million for star forward Bryan Mbeumo, despite the intense interest of Premier League
giants Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle United. The Cameroon international has been in extraordinary form, scoring eight goals in his first nine league games this season, a total that is only surpassed by Erling Haaland of Manchester City. In 2019, Mbeumo signed a five-year contract with Brentford, after joining the London club from Troyes in France, for a modest fee of under £6 million. He has established himself as one of the club’s most pivotal players since his arrival, contributing significantly to their promotion to the Premier League and netting 15 goals in his inaugural Championship season. Brentford’s 25-year-old has been a consistent performer in the top tier of England for three seasons, consistently delivering in high-pressure situations and receiving praise from both fans and pundits for his dependable performances.
His remarkable commencement to the present campaign has incited conjecture regarding a possible transfer, with talkSPORT indicating that Arsenal, Liverpool, and Newcastle have all expressed interest. Mbeumo’s performance has been particularly crucial for Brentford this season following Ivan Toney’s transfer to Saudi Arabia. Notwithstanding Toney’s absence, the Bees have flourished offensively, primarily owing to Mbeumo’s goal-scoring ability and on-field leadership.
