Detroit Lions star Aidan Hutchinson steps up with a dominant display, guiding the Lions’ defense to finish off the Ravens.

The Detroit Lions were reminded just how valuable Aidan Hutchinson is with an MVP-caliber showing against the Baltimore Ravens. Throughout much of 2024, one of the main talking points surrounding Detroit was how much the defense struggled without their star edge rusher, particularly late in the season and during the playoffs.

Detroit Lions star Aidan Hutchinson steps up with a dominant display, guiding the Lions’ defense to finish off the Ravens.

Hutchinson’s ability to single-handedly swing momentum was on full display in Week 3. Although he started slowly, he finished with a dominant performance both statistically and on the field. Pro Football Focus graded him as the league’s best run defender (93.1), while also crediting him with nine quarterback pressures, a sack, and a forced fumble — ranking him among the top edge defenders of the week.

Aidan Hutchinson – Week 3 Highlights:

  • 🟦 93.1 run defense grade (1st in NFL)

  • 🟦 9 pressures (T-2nd)

  • 🟦 1 sack

  • 🟦 1 forced fumble

When the game was in the balance, Hutchinson delivered two game-changing plays in the fourth quarter to stall Baltimore drives, proving why his presence was so sorely missed last season.

Even as he works his way back from injury, Hutchinson is already showing MVP-level form. His ability to step up in the biggest moments so early in the season suggests he could be even more dominant by year’s end.
