Dan Campbell Gives Measured Update on Miles Frazier’s Recovery
Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell offered the latest on rookie offensive lineman Miles Frazier during Monday’s press conference. While the report wasn’t overly negative, it also lacked the optimism some fans may have hoped for.
“He’s not progressing as quickly as we’d like,” Campbell admitted. “I can’t rule out a return at some point, but it’s not as clear as it was with [Christian] Mahogany last year, when you could really see the turnaround. We’re not at that stage yet, though he is getting better.”
Frazier’s Setback
Drafted out of LSU to provide depth across the offensive line, Frazier has been sidelined by injury instead, forcing Detroit to lean on veterans such as Graham Glasgow and fellow rookie Tate Ratledge to anchor the interior. Campbell’s remarks suggest Frazier could return later in the year, but the team is bracing for the possibility that his impact may be limited this season.
What’s Next
For now, Frazier remains focused on his recovery. Although Campbell underlined that progress is being made, expectations around the rookie’s availability will need to stay realistic as the Lions push through the season.
