“Don’t listen to him” – Reason why Marcus Rashford was angry and stormed out on fans during Manchester United win vs Newcastle match

A Manchester United fan in the Stretford End yelled, “Rashford, don’t listen to him!”

Before their game against Newcastle on Wednesday night, Marcus Rashford had a conversation with a fan. Video of the conversation has gone popular on social media.

Whatever was said during the exchange isn’t exactly clear, but Rashford heard something rude from the stands, which made the 26-year-old player react. The word “d*******” can be heard on the video, and the forward stops his warm-up to respond to the person who said it.

He is told by another fan to “leave Rashford alone.” Because of this, Rashford looked clearly angry, and Christian Eriksen and Antony tried to talk to him, but he was upset and felt the need to leave the area, so he left the warm-up.

In the end, Rashford did the right thing by leaving a bad situation. The person who abused him should feel very bad about themselves.

Being rude to someone is wrong, and the person who did it to Rashford is not a “fan.” They should be punished for what they did, and we hope it doesn’t happen again. Someone who says they support Manchester United should not have been rude to Rashford at Old Trafford. Such people are not welcome at the stadium if they want to act badly.

There’s no doubt that Rashford has had a bad season. After having the best year of his career (scoring 30 goals), he has gone backwards in a big way. But there is a difference between fair and helpful feedback and personal attacks, which are unacceptable.

It’s fine to say that Rashford should play better or run more, but insulting him personally is inappropriate.

Abuse of any kind should never come from a player, let alone a “fan” of their team. Other fans around the event were nice to see because they told Rashford to ignore the idiot who was doing it, and most fans would do the same.

People at Old Trafford have been groaning at Rashford this season because his body language has been weird at times. That’s what fans hate the most, and there’s been talk about whether it would be a good idea to sell him.

That wasn’t even possible last season. Rashford is the club’s poster boy because he was born in Wythenshawe, grew up supporting United, and worked his way up through the school. It would be a shame if his time at Old Trafford ended in divorce after a disappointing year.

There are different opinions among fans about Rashford, but they all love him very much and would love to see the best version of the forward every week. There’s nothing better than seeing a player from the United school do well at the highest level. Rashford has been the biggest success story from the youth team in the last 10 years.

Rashford’s journey hasn’t been easy, and his inconsistent play from season to season has kept him from being called world-class. But when he’s at his best, he’s almost impossible to stop and is a truly amazing talent.

In a letter published two months ago in The Players’ Tribune, Rashford wrote honestly and strongly about United. Most fans liked that he spoke out. It was the first step toward making things right with the fans again, and giving great results was the next. Rashford hasn’t been playing well lately, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if his name is shouted defiantly at the Amex Stadium on Sunday.

There is video of Rashford being attacked on social media that every United fan has seen. They will likely all support him this weekend at the last game of the season.

The stupid fan who slandered Rashford is not typical of the fans; they are a shame.
