Double suspensions have been imposed on Newcastle United and West Ham, putting the £94m trio at jeopardy.

The £94m trio is at risk as Newcastle United and West Ham are struck with a double suspension. In two weeks, Newcastle United and West Ham will be without important players as a result of suspensions when they meet at St James’ Park.

Newcastle United will enter the match against the Hammers with a winning streak of three consecutive games in all competitions. Their victory over Nottingham Forest was their second consecutive Premier League victory, guaranteeing that they would enter the international break in eighth place, one point behind Forest in the table.

The timing of the international break is likely to be unfavourable for Eddie Howe’s team, as they have amassed significant momentum as a result of their three victories. Howe was allowed to maintain his starting lineup for the match at the City Ground, but he will be required to make a change for the match against Julen Lopetegui’s team.

The reason for this is that Dan Burn will be absent for the match against West Ham, as he received his fifth caution of the season just minutes into Sunday’s victory.

Anthony Taylor cautioned Burn after he brought down Morgan Gibbs-White, who was attempting to break for the hosts.Burn was able to avoid receiving a second yellow card during the subsequent 84 minutes; however, he will be unable to face West Ham. Joelinton and Fabian Schar, who were also on four yellow cards prior to Sunday’s match, were spared a booking and will be available for selection.Mohammed Kudus, on the other hand, will not be available to select for the Hammers’ voyage to the northeast due to an additional two-game ban imposed by the FA.

Kudus was issued a three-match suspension after being sent off against Tottenham Hotspur. However, the FA announced last week that the Ghanaian will serve an additional two games, which will result in his absence from the game at St James’ Park. Last season, Kudus scored in both of the two matches between the two teams. However, Lucas Paqueta will be available for Lopetegui after he avoided a yellow card during their goalless draw with Everton on Parquets, like Joelinton and Schar, has been cautioned four times this season. If he receives a yellow card prior to the 20th game of the season, he will be subject to a one-game suspension.
