Eddie Howe explains Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak’s injury fitness update after the Fulham vs. Newcastle United defeat match (3-1) at the Premier League match on Saturday

Since starting Alexander Isak for Newcastle United against Fulham, Eddie Howe has given an official report on the player.

While the team was winning at Wolverhampton Wanderers last Sunday, Isak hurt his toe and wasn’t sure if he would be able to play. Howe told the press on Friday that the striker would be given a late call because he missed some training this week because of a foot problem.

Before the game, Howe was asked about Isak’s health. He told Premier League Productions, “Hopefully Alex can play as long as we need him today.”

“I think he’s fully fit again; he got over his toe injury.” For us, the front three is a little different. We hope they can work together and do well today.

Howe made four changes to the team that beat Wolves. Harvey Barnes replaced Jacob Murphy as the game-winner, Joe Willock replaced Sean Longstaff in midfield, and both full-backs, Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall, were replaced by Kieran Trippier and Lloyd Kelly, respectively.

As of now, Sandro Tonali is still on the bench and has yet to make his Premier League debut since his ban.

“We have a very strong team, so we can switch things up,” Howe said. “We’re trying to make sure the players are in the best shape possible before they go out on the field for our three big games this week.” I’m excited about the team and hope we do well.
