Eddie Howe has the option to modify his Newcastle United starting lineup for the match against Nottingham Forest.
At a time when their Premier League performance is faltering, the Magpies are gearing up for a critical match in their pursuit of Champions League qualification. Including Saturday’s 4-0 loss to Manchester City, Newcastle United has suffered losses in three of their last four league games.
Alan Shearer claimed that Newcastle’s performance was “unacceptable” and that a response was necessary against Nottingham Forest this weekend. Eddie Howe has the option to alter his team, and the following is the Newcastle United XI that the Geordie Boot Boys have predicted to face Nottingham Forest.
The mitts are currently in the possession of the former, but there is a possibility that this may change. Ben Foster believes that Dubravka may be replaced in the near future, as Howe is expected to field his most talented team in the Carabao Cup final in March.
He believes that Pope is included in XI, rather than Dubravka. This appears to be an ideal opportunity to recall Pope following the four goals conceded last weekend. Premier League Newcastle Sunday, February 23rd 15:00 Forest of Nottm
Lewis Miley will commence the match against Nottingham Forest. The Newcastle United midfield is currently surrounded by question marks. Due to Joelinton’s injury, there is an opportunity to secure a position in the team.
Joe Willock had the chance to capitalise on it; however, it is possible that he failed to do so. Lewis Miley replaced the 25-year-old at halftime during the match against Manchester City. Miley’s performance was commended by Howe, and the 18-year-old wonderkid will be eager to follow up his cameo with his first Premier League start of the season.
Howe is confronted with a challenging decision, as Willock is a player who is in the process of establishing his cadence. Nevertheless, Newcastle United require points, and Howe may believe that starting Miley will provide his team with the greatest opportunity to secure a victory against Forest.
