Fabian Schar, the Newcastle United defender, is on the brink of securing a contract extension that will extend his tenure on Tyneside.

 

The Swiss defender, who made his 200th appearance for the club in Monday’s defeat to West Ham United, expressed his gratitude for the accomplishment by stating, “Here’s to many more.”
