English football pundit Gary Neville gave his key reason why Manchester United should sign 28-year-old Brentford forward Ivan Toney
There is transfer news from Manchester United as Gary Neville talks about Ivan Toney’s future. The summer transfer window ends in two weeks. Gary Neville has said that he wants Ivan Toney to stay in the Premier League, even though there are rumors that he could be sent to Saudi Arabia.
This summer, Man United, Chelsea, and Arsenal have all been mentioned with the striker. This month, it was said that Al Ahli, a team in Saudi Arabia, wanted to sign him to play in the Saudi Pro League.
Toney’s deal with Brentford ends in 12 months, and it looks like he will be leaving. Since United had already signed Joshua Zirkzee earlier in the window, they were likely no longer interested in the England player. However, Rasmus Hojlund’s injury means that the Red Devils are still interested in signing him.
He wasn’t with Brentford’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.
He is 28 years old. The striker is thought to be fully fit, and Thomas Frank confirmed that his absence was due to interest from other teams. Some teams want to sign Ivan, and there are a lot of things going on with him, Frank told Sky Sports.
“That’s why he’s not on the team.” We all know that Ivan is a great player. For four years, he was a great player for us, but we proved last year that we could do without him.
It is likely that Brentford would rather sell the England forward now than let him go on loan. Neville said on Sky Sports that Toney would be good for any Premier League club if he joined after Toney was kicked out. “I’d love to see him stay in the Premier League but I’ve been told he may be going to Saudi Arabia, which would be a shame,” he said.
Ivan is a top player we all know that. He has been a fantastic player for us for four years but we showed last year we could cope without him.”
Brentford are expected to prefer to sell the England forward now instead of sanctioning a loan move. Neville, who was speaking on Sky Sports after Toney’s exclusion, insisted that his arrival would be an asset to any Premier League club.
“I’d love to see him stay in the Premier League but I’ve been told he may be going to Saudi Arabia, which would be a shame,” he explained.
We’ve liked seeing him play in the Premier League for the past few years, but he probably feels like he needs to take advantage of this deal more than any other.
His career hasn’t gone as well as that of many English players his age, who will be making a lot of money. “He’ll feel like he needs to go make as much money as possible, so he may do that.”
He would be a great addition to another club if he stayed in the Premier League.
