English former footballer Gabby Agbonlahor fires back at Simon Jordan’s ‘disrespectful’ Celtic and Rangers comments that was disrespecful with a brutal message

This morning, Celtic supporters were presented with two pieces of information.

Initially, Celtic’s new Adidas merchandise was released, featuring a new Samba shoe in the iconic green and white color scheme.

Second, Rangers has appointed Russell Martin to challenge Celtic’s stranglehold on Scottish football in the upcoming season.

The new manager of Ibrox, the former Southampton manager, was officially announced. Brendan Rodgers now has a clear understanding of his opponents for the upcoming season as he endeavors to maintain Celtic’s position at the summit of Scottish football.

Simon Jordan responded to the news that Martin’s appointment as the new Rangers manager implies that the Ibrox club, and by extension Celtic, are now at Championship level. This assertion caused significant frustration for Gaby Agbonlahor.

Simon Jordan is accused of arrogance regarding his assertions regarding Celtic and Rangers.
There is a distinctive burden that is not experienced by many clubs in the world of football that is associated with managing Celtic and Rangers.

Numerous football clubs, particularly those in the English Championship, do not anticipate winning each match, regardless of Celtic and Rangers’ opponents.

And that is the reason why Agbonlahor has criticized Jordan’s remarks.

Agbonlahor stated to talkSPORT, “I believe that Simon was being quite disrespectful.” To assert that you are capable of managing a large club such as Rangers because you have experience in the Championship is a fallacy.

“The pressure is on the Rangers.” Some of these Championship clubs are not under the same level of duress as Celtic.

So Russell Martin is under duress, and I believe that is not a wise statement for Simon.

The significance of Russell Martin’s appointment as Rangers’ manager for Celtic

Martin’s appointment appears to be perceived by a significant number of Rangers fans as a mere wager, as evidenced by the online reactions.

Nevertheless, Celtic supporters are aware that the absence of a “big name” manager is a risk that cannot be overlooked, as evidenced by Ange Postecoglou’s tenure at the club.

However, there is a caveat to that. A victor at every level he managed, Ange Postecoglou was. He acquired silverware for the Australian national team, Brisbane Roar, Yokohama F Marinos, and Celtic. Martin has yet to acquire a domestic trophy.

Martin has achieved nothing in terms of securing silverware, despite the fact that he successfully navigated Southampton into the English Premier League through the semifinals.

Celtic and Brendan Rodgers are now aware of their opponents for the upcoming season.
