This morning, four days after the Glasgow Derby, people are still talking about how easy it was for Celtic to beat Rangers.

Brendan Rodgers now has five points more than the Ibrox club at the top of the Scottish Premiership table after Celtic’s 3-0 win. The next SPFL match between the two teams won’t happen for another ten days, though, because of the international break.

But while Celtic is getting praise, Gabby Agbonlahor is the latest former player-turned-expert who has become a fan of the club after what he saw at the Celtic Park match.

Agbonlahor loved how Celtic Park felt.
He hasn’t been shy about how much he loves Celtic, and now that he’s seen their 3-0 win over Rangers, Agbolnlahor talks about what he liked most about the day.

And Agbonlahor told talkSPORT, “To be honest, I loved it.” That place was great, and everyone we met was so nice. It changes things.

“Everyone up there is nice, and we’re talking football a lot.”

“Because I stayed where the Scotland players do, I had a little chat with John McGinn, who is Aston Villa’s set piece coach, as I was leaving.”

“I had a great time. I met a lot of Celtic and Rangers fans and had fun with them.” I had a great time.

The fact that Celtic beat Rangers so easily surprised Agbonlahor.
However, Agbonlahor says that he was surprised at how quickly Celtic beat their Glasgow rivals, even though he enjoyed the Celtic Park hospitality.

“I’ve watched a lot of Old Firm games,” the former Aston Villa striker said. “When you watch them, you think, ‘Oh, it could have gone either way. It’s close, or there were tackles going in.'”

“I don’t like to criticize people, but I played in a lot of derby games, and if I were a Rangers fan, I would probably think, ‘They may be better than you, but make a tackle.'” Kick someone at least.

“It was that simple, and Celtic fans in the stadium were asking, ‘Why haven’t we scored yet?'” ten minutes from now.

“The goal was called off, and it was said, ‘Don’t worry, we’ll score again soon.'” There was a sense of “we’re going to beat these easily.” That must be hard for Rangers fans to handle.

This win in the Glasgow Derby will probably make people feel good until Celtic plays Hearts on September 14.

It will be tough for Rangers on that day because they have to play Dundee United at Tannadice at noon. If Clement loses any more points and Celtic then beats Hearts, it will be very hard for the Rangers boss to catch Rodgers.
