English former footballer Jason Cundy sends a message full of praises to England and Man City player Kyle Walker over his performance against Denmark in the Euro 2024
A lot of Manchester City’s first-team players are playing for their countries in the 2024 European Championship.
In fact, City has 14 players at the Euros, which is more than any other team in the top flight.
Three of them are playing for England right now, and they have already played two of their three group games.
They tied 1-1 with Denmark in their second game of the event after beating Serbia 1-0 in their first game.
This time, England went ahead in the 18th minute thanks to Harry Kane, but they gave up the equalizer in the 34th minute.
Even though Gareth Southgate’s team only got a point, one City player got a lot of credit for something he did during the game.
Listen to talkSPORT’s video of England’s most recent game to hear what Jason Cundy had to say about Kyle Walker after he helped set up England’s only goal against Denmark.
“Great run from Walker down the right side,” he said. Very impressive.
Walker quickly took the ball away from Victor Kristiansen and sent a cross into the box, where Kane put it in the net for England’s first and only goal against Denmark.
The main things that gave Walker’s team the edge before the equalizer were his speed, strength, determination, and attacking skills.
Rio Ferdinand recently said that the City captain is the only wide player in the current England team that he thinks would have made the golden generation Three Lions team from about 20 years ago.
We think the 34-year-old’s work leading up to the first goal against Denmark shows what he can do for his country in addition to playing defense.
